Our Story

 

Margie’s Kitchen has been serving delicious home-style food with fast and friendly service since June of 2014. Formerly known as the second location of The Bread and Butter Cafe, the name was changed when the family sold the original location at Columbus in October 2021. We are a fast-paced cafe located on the northwest corner of 22nd street and Harrison so stop on in for some great food or some fresh homemade pie! We pride ourselves on our prompt and efficient service, our happy upbeat attitude, and our great comfort food.

We are a family-owned and operated business by Garrett Rohwer; along with the rest of our awesome staff, who are basically our family as well. The restaurant was named after Garrett’s late mother who, alongside his Father Michael, ran multiple restaurants throughout their life together. She passed away from breast cancer in May of 2007 and Garrett wanted to honor her and keep her legacy alive in the rename of the restaurant.
